Winter Wonderland?

Winter, yes; wonderland, no.  It has been snowing like crazy.  The first few times, it was fun, making snow angels and sledding down exhilarating hills.  Now, it's causing power outages and schools to be canceled non-stop.  Two weeks ago, we had a five day weekend.  This week, we didn't even have a full school day.  Monday was off, Tuesday had a two-hour delay, and today and tomorrow are be canceled.  I like having a few snow days to help myself catch up on work or get ahead, but not too many because then, all the snow days will be added on to spring break and summer vacation.  So far, we have to go to school on Martin Luther King's Day, lost at least one day of Spring break, and four days of summer vacation.

But, enough with my rant. Let's view some of the beautiful scenery the snow left behind.

The first two pictures are from the first snowfall this winter.  On my scale of petty to extraordinary, it was pretty high up there.

The snow covered every nook and cranny it could get.  I love the blanket of perfection it creates.
One of the reasons I love winter

The following pictures are from today.  Instead of snow, it rained, and the cold weather turned the droplets into ice.
