Happy Birthday Amy!!!

Today is my friend, Amy's birthday, and lucky for her, it's on the weekend.  I have a gift ready, but I can only give it to her tomorrow.  So today, I'll wish her an awesome birthday by posting a picture and a short message on Instagram.
I put a lot of thought into my gift, trying to figure out what she would love the most.  Plus, to be creative I drew her a card with a portrait of herself on the front.  I hope she likes it, and if you're reading this Amy, I wish you the Happiest 15th Birthday Ever!!!

Can you guess what I got her?

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Unfortunately, today was another day off because of icy roads.  I would have preferred to celebrate Valentine's Day at school with all my friends. Plus,  I got everyone Valentine cards, just like when we were young, but now I'll have to wait until next year.
Remember, Valentine's Day isn't just for that special person; it's also for your friends and family. So, this year, tell your loved one how grateful you are to have them in your life.  To celebrate, I created this cute card with a Valentine's Day bunny.  Enjoy!

Winter Wonderland?

Winter, yes; wonderland, no.  It has been snowing like crazy.  The first few times, it was fun, making snow angels and sledding down exhilarating hills.  Now, it's causing power outages and schools to be canceled non-stop.  Two weeks ago, we had a five day weekend.  This week, we didn't even have a full school day.  Monday was off, Tuesday had a two-hour delay, and today and tomorrow are be canceled.  I like having a few snow days to help myself catch up on work or get ahead, but not too many because then, all the snow days will be added on to spring break and summer vacation.  So far, we have to go to school on Martin Luther King's Day, lost at least one day of Spring break, and four days of summer vacation.

But, enough with my rant. Let's view some of the beautiful scenery the snow left behind.

The first two pictures are from the first snowfall this winter.  On my scale of petty to extraordinary, it was pretty high up there.

The snow covered every nook and cranny it could get.  I love the blanket of perfection it creates.
One of the reasons I love winter

The following pictures are from today.  Instead of snow, it rained, and the cold weather turned the droplets into ice.

Day 8: The Final Grind Begins

Today honestly did not feel like a Friday because I didn't have cohort. In other exciting news, it was the last day of my Global Asia re...
